Lars is a strategic international sales manager with over 25 years of experience in senior sales, marketing, operations, engineering, machining and business development on a domestic and global level. Lars has extensive experience in various industries including marine, mining, oil & gas, wind power and other heavy industrial sectors.
Prior to co-founding AC883, Lars was the Senior Trade Advisor in Canada for the Trade Council of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark, assisting Danish companies in entering the North American market. Lars also was the Business Development Manager for a Canadian engineering company that builds special machines for various industries, including the above segments.
Lars is a trained Machinist and Mechanical Engineer with an engineering degree from the engineering school in Odense and also has training and degrees in sales and marketing from the Danish Academy.
In addition, Lars worked for five years as the , a Danish company known as a leading designer and manufacturer of hydraulic and electronic controlled braking systems. At Svendborg Brakes, Lars’ responsibilities included sales management, KA-sales, P&L for the global industrial division, business development, strategic management and growth, R&D, technical back office support, regional office supervision and management, and overseeing and coordinating distribution and service and support departments.
Lars has lived in Toronto since 2009 and is a resident of Canada. Lars is a Danish citizen, and lived in Denmark prior to relocating to Canada in 2009.
Lars is fluent in Danish, German, and English.
